BIRMINGHAM SENIOR CUP This is the first season Lockheed Leamington won the Birmingham Senior Cup.
They beat Tamworth, Rugby Town and Redditch before meeting Bedworth Town in the semi final at the Windmill ground, January 1951, the score was 1-0 and Derek Bennett scored the winner on 57 minutes. Lockheed Leamington: Spencer; Dobbs, C Bennett; Soden, Latham, Hawker; Morrow, Grimwood, D Bennett, Gardner, Keeble Bedworth Town: Broadway; Kelley, Woolley; Twigger, Attwood, Greenway; Setchell, Spacey, Smith, McKeown, Gilmour
The final was at Nuneaton Borough in March 1951 against Hereford United Reserves. The game ended 2-2 with Brakes' Morrow scoring with just six minutes left to take the game to a replay.
