Former Brakes Player Joins the Board

Former Brakes player Guy Rippon has been appointed Community Development Director of Leamington Football Club and joins the Board of Directors with immediate effect.  He was part of the re-formed Leamington FC team in the 2000-01 and 2001-02 seasons and still plays regularly for Whitnash Town in the Coventry Alliance.

Roscorla on Loan

Manager Paul Holleran allowed Grant Roscorla to get  90 minutes under his belt for Bolehall Swifts yesterday to enable the youngster to get match fitness as he awaits an opportunity to break into the Brakes team.  Holleran said,  'Grant is showing a good attitude in training and within the squad and I want to ensure that he retains his sharpness.  Games under his belt will clearly benefit him and us'.

Brakes were cruelly denied what would have been a deserved point in a dramatic climax to this game, as Lilywhites keeper Zac Barrett saved a penalty from Luke Corbett with almost the final kick of an absorbing contest. Leamington had dominated the first half, only to fall behind moments before the interval, but stormed back to level in the second period, before conceding two quick goals that were ultimately to win the game for Cambridge.
