Following extensive testing of electrical appliances and a full review of how much power is being utilised by every appliance/piece of equipment at the club we have confirmed that on match-days we are pulling too much power and overloading the fuses.  It is something that we have successfully managed for the past couple of years by turning off appliances in a form of rotation basis and a degree of uncertainty exists at this stage as to why that is no longer the case.

Having sought advice from relevant experts it is agreed that there will have to be an upgrade to our electrical supply.  We are currently exploring all options to determine the best and most cost effective way of doing that, although it is likely to be a number of weeks before we have the full detail and likely timescales.

In the short term it is a problem we have to one hundred per cent solve to ensure we have no further power failures on a match day.  Having analysed all the data we have collected, the key decision we have made is to temporarily close 'Berties Brakes' food outlet (probably for remainder of the season) until such time as we have an upgraded supply.  That catering will be outsourced (this Saturday) to the company who provide Solihull Moors with their pitch-side catering and will be located on the hard standing by the corner flag on the dug out side at the clubhouse end of the ground.  Discussions are ongoing with a number of operators who are experienced in catering provision at non-league clubs as we want to ensure the continuation of the best possible service.

Whilst we will be shutting off a number of other electrical appliances and sources of usage across the club, the only noticeable ones that will affect fans on match-day are the shutting off of heaters and hand dryers in the pitch-side toilet units.  Hand towels will be provided.

We have formulated a plan to ensure that the level of electrical usage falls well below fuse limits. Further electrical supply readings will be taken at the next two matches to develop our understanding even further.

We thank you for your support in this matter and will keep you updated with progress.
