'He scores free kicks for fun, he's better than Beckham!', so the song goes. Leamington postman Harj Dhesi was a member of the successful Brakes youth team back in the late AP years of the early 1980's. He made his first team debut 2 months after his 18th birthday in an FA Trophy 1st Round defeat at Dudley Town. He is the first player to appear for the club before and after our enforced hibernation between 1988 and 2000.*
Harj returned to the club at the back end of his career to help us on our way back up the pyramid. He joined the select band of players who have scored on their debuts for the club by smashing in a free kick against Handsaker, and scored several more from dead balls over the next 3 seasons. Harj was a colourful character who was well liked by the Brakes support.
*If and when we are able to obtain statistics from Harj's first spell at the club, these will be added here.
