The Brakes Trust Supporter’s Co-operative are all ‘fuelled up’ thanks to new funding from Phillips 66, the Leamington Football Club Community Grass Roots and Stadium Partner.

Phillips 66 and its fuel brand JET will provide a year’s worth of free fuel for the Trust’s 17 seater minibus. Over the next 12 months, the preloaded JET fuel card will benefit hundreds of players from across the Club’s teams, as well as supporters and fans. The local community will also benefit as the wheelchair accessible minibus is available for community groups to book when not in use for match days or club trips.

Based at the Phillips 66 Community Stadium, the minibus is owned and run by the Brakes Trust, which supports the Club and the local community. Nick Rogers, Chairman of the Brakes Trust, comments: “We are very grateful to Phillips 66 for committing to provide fuel for the Trust's minibus. The saving will encourage more Brakes fans to use it for home and away matches. The affiliated junior and ladies’ teams will also be able to take advantage of the free fuel, along with groups from the wider community. For instance, we’ve already had a booking from the Harbury Duke of Edinburgh Group who are heading to Snowdonia this July and now, thanks to Phillips 66, we are able to offer them the benefit of a full tank of fuel for their trip.”

Alex Blower of Phillips 66 adds: “We’re delighted to supply the Club with a year of free fuel – with over 330 JET forecourts throughout the UK, including one nearby in Kenilworth, there are plenty of options for refuelling the minibus. We’re always looking at different ways to build on our Community ‘Grass Roots’ partnership and this seemed like a great way of helping out. Not everyone has their own transport to get to matches, so the bus is a much-needed and well-used resource.”
